Julia is a consultant and the author of three books on emerging trends.
Julia launched her practice in 1985. She began as a speechwriter and built a clientele of CEOs, cabinet ministers, and celebrities. Today she also works with high performers in transition. This includes coaching new leaders (presentation skills, writing) and developing customized programs (employee engagement, reverse mentoring, enhanced decision-making).
The “nabs ripe program” is her highest-profile workshop. Based on her book, and developed to help people over 45 years of age who’ve lost their jobs in the media and advertising industry find new work, the program is offered across Canada, and has helped more than 1,000 people. (Julia also does this work with clients in the US and UK.)
Julia is an accomplished speaker and a trusted media source. She has a reputation for being evidence-led, insightful, and entertaining (and if you close your eyes, she sounds like Jane Fonda).
As a speaker, she has connected with audiences on four continents, from small to large (20 to 2,000), and everything from breakfast keynotes to after-dinner remarks. Best known for two topics – meaningful work and work after 50 – she has received standing ovations from students and the C-suite alike.
More magazine named her one of their “Top 40 Over 40” and the Financial Post described her as “One to watch.”
With insight, skill, and joy.
